One of just two single-site cuvées in Charles Boigelot’s micro-range, Les Plantes 2022 captures Monthelie’s cooler edge with poise and lift. Whole-cluster vinification and zero new oak keep the wine bright and tensile, while the clay-limestone soils give just enough flesh to round out the herbal, spicy grip of the stems. Only a handful of barrels made, and all from vines Boigelot farms himself.

Charles Boigelot is part of a new generation of Burgundy growers prioritising vineyard health, gentle vinification and transparency over extraction or oak. Though still under the radar, his wines have begun appearing on elite Paris wine lists, a signal of rising demand. With just a few hectares under lease and an ethos closer to vigneron-artisan than négociant, Boigelot’s output remains scarce - and highly collectable.
