Maison Pature begins with a starting point almost no young producer is given: seven Grand Cru parcels in the heart of the Côte des Blancs and a family history of wine that previously went to Louis Roederer.

Elian og Matéo Pature
Elian and Matéo Pature are cousins and still only in their mid-20s. They are curious, generous and full of drive. Maison Pature is their own house, but the parcels and the history come from their grandmother Marysa, whose seven Grand Cru vineyards in Avize, Oger and Cramant now form the foundation for the new generation.
The family previously sold the fruit to Louis Roederer, where virtually all the grapes went into Cristal. A few older wines were kept back and aged. Elian and Matéo have given them new life as La Marysa 2013 and L’Assemblage de la Marysa. It is a beautiful beginning, because it lets them show both the family's history and their own direction from the very first release.
The most convincing thing is the quality in the bottle. Premiers Pas has minerality, depth and a remarkably assured vinous form for a first cuvée. The older cuvées show how beautifully the material can develop, and Enfants du Village gives the first full picture of the new generation. Maison Pature has everything required to become a great name in the Côte des Blancs.
Vineyards and cellar
Seven Grand Cru parcels in Avize, Oger and Cramant
All seven family parcels are planted with Chardonnay and lie in three of the Côte des Blancs’ most important Grand Cru villages: Avize, Oger and Cramant. Several of the parcels sit close to vineyards associated with Jacques Selosse. The soils are dominated by chalk, and the wines have the saline, persistent structure that characterises the area's best Blanc de Blancs.
Premiers Pas is based on 2021 with 55 per cent reserve wine. It was tiraged in June 2022, disgorged in August 2025 and dosed at 0 g/l. The liqueur d’expédition was aged in wood. La Marysa 2013 spent 22 months sur lies before tirage in August 2015 and was disgorged in August 2024 with 3 g/l. L’Assemblage de la Marysa brings together 2009 and 2010, was tiraged in July 2011 and disgorged in August 2024 with 2 g/l.
Enfants du Village is based on 2023 and made from 100 per cent Grand Cru Chardonnay. Around 60 per cent is matured in steel and 40 per cent in used, large Bordeaux barrels that previously held Sémillon. The dosage is 2.5 g/l, placing the wine as Extra Brut. The label shows Elian and Matéo collecting building blocks from their grandmother's basket: a precise image of the family history they are now building on.

Premiers Pas is Elian and Matéo's first cuvée of their own, and it shows remarkable assurance. Citrus, chalk, white flowers and fine bready notes come together in a wine of great freshness and noticeable depth. The reserve wine gives breadth, while the long time on the lees builds texture. A serious beginning for the house.
La Marysa 2013 Champagne Extra Brut

La Marysa is the last vintage made by their grandmother Marysa. Ripe citrus, roasted nuts, brioche and a deep chalky length make a complex Blanc de Blancs that still stands upright and fresh. It carries both emotional significance and real vinous stature.
L’Assemblage de la Marysa Champagne
Blend of 2009 and 2010 · tirage 07/2011 · disgorgement 08/2024 · dosage 2 g/l
2009 and 2010 brought together in one rare cuvée. The wine is evolved and vinous with ripe citrus, spice, nut and a clear chalky line. The long bottle ageing has given depth without stripping the freshness. A fascinating link between the family's earlier work and the new house.
Enfants du Village Champagne Extra Brut
100 per cent Grand Cru Chardonnay · base 2023 · approx. 60 per cent steel and 40 per cent used large Sémillon barrels · dosage 2.5 g/l
Enfants du Village is the first full expression of Elian and Matéo's own generation. Intense citrus, chalk and white fruit run through a firm, vinous texture and a long, saline finish. The wine is unusually creamy and complex. The large used barrels add breadth without blurring the chalk of the Côte des Blancs. It is an exceptionally well-made wine that firmly places Maison Pature among Champagne's most exciting new houses.
