Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey
With low yields, careful élevage and an uncompromising vision, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey delivers wines that capture the very heartbeat of Burgundy’s great terroirs.
Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey – Burgundy’s modern icon
Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey has become one of the defining voices of white Burgundy. After years as winemaker at his family’s Domaine Marc Colin, he founded his own domaine in 2001 together with his wife Caroline Morey. From a modest start in Saint-Aubin, he now farms and sources fruit across some of the most coveted sites of the Côte de Beaune – Chassagne, Puligny, Meursault, and the grands crus of Corton-Charlemagne, Bâtard and Chevalier-Montrachet.
What sets PYCM apart is a singular style: low yields, early harvesting, long pressing, and a restrained use of oak. His whites carry a reductive edge – flint, struck match, crushed stone – that frames luminous fruit and taut mineral drive. Each wine feels sculpted, chiselled out of limestone, yet layered with depth and texture that unfolds over years in the cellar.
From the shimmering energy of his Saint-Aubin to the profound intensity of his grands crus, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey captures Burgundy at its most precise and compelling. These are wines that balance nerve and generosity, purity and complexity – bottles that have become touchstones for collectors and sommeliers around the world.
In every release, PYCM reminds us why white Burgundy, in the right hands, can feel both timeless and thrillingly alive.
