Frederic Magnien Morey Saint Denis Sorbes 2021
Frédéric Magnien Morey-Saint-Denis "Sorbes" 2021
From the clay-heavy mid-slope lieu-dit of Sorbes, this 2021 cuvée reflects the vintage’s cool precision and Magnien’s biodynamic touch. Delicate floral aromatics meet redcurrant, cranberry and sous-bois, wrapped in fine, chalk-edged tannins. A quietly expressive Morey with restrained extraction and mineral clarity—true to both site and year.

The Domaine
Frédéric Magnien, son of Michel Magnien, crafts terroir-focused wines through a micro-négoce model rooted in organic and biodynamic principles. Since 2015, he has increasingly shifted élevage toward amphorae to emphasize purity and site transparency. His wines—marked by whole clusters, minimal oak and zero flash—offer a cerebral, soil-driven take on the Côte de Nuits.
