Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin Blanc 1er Cru "Les Frionnes" 2020
In sun-lit 2020, Olivier Lamy coaxed shimmering tension from Les Frionnes’ cool southeast slope, crafting a Saint-Aubin that rivals Puligny for chiselled energy. Chardonnay vines planted 1935-1985 layer lemon oil, white-grape flesh and crushed-rock salinity, all wrapped in the silk of the vintage’s natural ripeness. With barely 12.500 bottles filled, demand is predictably fierce.

The Domaine
Founded by Hubert in 1973, the now 18-hectare estate is driven by son Olivier, whose tireless vineyard care and low-impact cellar craft have propelled Saint-Aubin onto every collector’s radar. Organic farming, wild fermentations and whisper-light oak let each limestone slope speak with piercing clarity. Extended élevage adds depth without weight, yielding whites that age with startling grace. Allocations vanish quickly, a testament to the domaine’s hard-won reputation.
