The low-yielding 2019 season in Sarrians began with spring frost, tightened by a torrid July, then saved by cool August nights that locked freshness into perfectly ripe Grenache. Emmanuel Reynaud harvested parcel by parcel for optimal balance, fermenting whole berries in concrete to protect wild herb perfume and trademark silk. Eighteen months in neutral foudres have polished the wine into a seamless weave of black cherry, fig leaf and warm clay minerality. With allocations already spoken for, this vintage will vanish long before its aromatic tapestry fully unfurls.

The Domaine
Nestled in Sarrians beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail, Château des Tours belongs to the Reynaud family of Château Rayas fame. Emmanuel Reynaud farms the 40-hectare estate organically, favouring deep ploughing and strict leaf thinning to temper yields. In the cellar he shuns new oak and technology, trusting long élevage and low sulfur to reveal haunting purity. The resulting wines marry Rhône generosity with an almost Burgundian finesse, making every release a prized allocation for aficionados.
