Benoit Marguet Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru "Yuman 20"
Benoît Marguet Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs 1er Cru Yuman 20 NV
Drawn from 2020-harvested Premier Cru Chardonnay, Benoît Marguet’s Brut Nature Yuman 20 distills the laser-cut chalk of Villers-Marmery and Villeneuve-Renneville into a pulse of citrus zest, acacia and wet stone. Fermentation in seasoned oak and a tirage on a biodynamic flower day build texture without blurring focus, while 22 months sur lattes and zero dosage leave a finish as saline as sea spray. Disgorged in May 2023 and bottled at lower pressure, allocations evaporate within hours of release.

The Domaine
Based in Ambonnay since the late 19th century, Benoît Marguet farms just over eight hectares biodynamically, ploughing with horses and relying on phytotherapy instead of synthetic chemicals. In the gravity-flow cellar every base wine ferments in wood, with minimal sulfur and prolonged lees aging before zero-dosage disgorgement. The result is a collection of Champagnes that couple vivid terroir transparency with captivating energy, making each release a fiercely contested allocation for grower-Champagne devotees.
